Click to View J's Longest Year in Pictures
While sorting through his pictures, I came across several video clips. I found this one from a Kurdish celebration welcoming J. and the Team most amusing:
Click to watch J. do the Man Dance - (in case you have trouble finding him, J. is The White Guy - without a hat - in the circle). J. laughed that he finally found a dance he could do - no rhythm required. Bless his heart.
I had to respond again...because from what I can tell, our husbands basically had the same mission! This is nuts! We have so many of those same pictures (though no man dance, which was great, btw! :D )
We were actually talking on Skype when the ammo dump at FOB Falcon in Baghdad was hit by a mortar. It was loud and crazy scary to be hearing...I just knew it would be all over the news, but it was barely even mentioned. I had never been so scared in my life, and I was a world away.

Love the pictures, J just cracks me up. I still think that dance was a little difficult for him. The soldier to his left had more bounce and rythm than him. Now that he's home you should take up ballroom dancing together. Thanks for keeping your blog up for us to enjoy and share with you.
Love ya
Erin

Haha, I love it! It would be a hoot to see James at a Jewish or Ukranian wedding!
Great pictures, thanks for sharing them with all of us. I hope J has a way of staying in touch with his special Kurdish friend. It's wonderful to see the reception they all got from the Kurd community. He has touched many lives, bridging cultural differences as a dedicated and caring ambassador for our country.
Good job, J. And thank you.
